Food and Urban Sketching
Winter Park, Florida is an idyllic place for sketching, shopping, and eating. It’s my favorite place to visit. Yesterday, I braved the chilly (for Floridians) temperature and took some photos, ate lunch, and visited a cafe to do some urban sketching.
I also love trains, and there is always one rolling through…
Remembering to grab the D3200 once in awhile seems to be a challenge for me. Also, updating technology to match current downloads and camera firmware can be time consuming. (Dear Santa, I would like a full format camera, but I don’t use it enough apparently, so I really don’t deserve such an expensive present.)
And it’s like 50 degrees outside in Florida, so I think I will skip the running and lift weights instead. LOL
My creativity today starts with two studio shots… have a warm and happy Wednesday. 🙂
Gathering research photos
I like to take the iphone and the Nikon DSLR when I go on walks, especially in a place as lovely as Wekiva Springs State Park. It was a good morning for gathering some landscape inspiration. It is best to paint on location, but if time is limited, I always try to collect photos for my reference file collection–I often use them as ideas for larger paintings.
Florida life continues in the high summer temperatures…waiting for the afternoon rain.
I don’t use this lens that often, but it was fun playing with the camera settings today. Of course I was melting in this Florida heat, waiting for hummingbirds that did not visit. Maybe next time!
Florida Living… feeling spoiled by the beauty today.
